DMM Interior Designs offers a variety of services dependent on the clients needs. One-hour consultations are available as well as the following services:
New Construction & Remodels:
Floor plan layouts that include window and wall placement and electrical and lighting plans. The initial design phase includes the execution of the floor plan, the necessary elevations, and any detail drawings of custom items. The contractor will need these details in order to ensure a successful completion of the project.
Placement of Furniture:
Selection & space planning/arrangement. Furniture must be placed in a room for the proper flow and spacing recommendations. Selection of furniture and accessories is dependent on the client’s style and taste. A room should be balanced, not too crowded with furniture, and not too cluttered with accessories.
Finish Selections:
Wall and floor coverings, countertops, lighting, paint, hardware, and fabrics. Customizing a home or business is done largely through the selection of flooring, fabrics, wall treatments, and hard surfaces such as countertops.
There is an extensive range of options for the floor: wood (hand-scraped or smooth, wide plank or random planked, and a variety of stain options); tile (polished/unpolished, porcelain/ceramic/natural stone, texture, and color); and carpet (wool/nylon, shag/loop/cut pile, color palette, and pattern).
Selections for the hard surfaces will be determined by the style of the home/business and the budget. Options include granite, concrete, recycled glass, soapstone, and many others.
Wall treatments can be as simple as a new paint palette or a faux finish, wallpaper, padded walls, or the addition of wood moldings and appliques.
Our designers will assist the client with the selection of lighting, cabinet hardware, and fabrics for the furniture and window treatments. The selections must flow throughout the home/business and keep with the style the client wishes to convey.
Custom Design:
Furniture, stained-glass, window treatments, etc. Often a home needs a special touch that is not readily available. DMM INTERIOR DESIGN will design furniture, window treatments, accessories, and stained-glass windows to add the accent to your room. Designing your home to reflect your taste/style and yet still be unique is our goal.
Home Staging & Organizing:
When putting your home on the market to sell, use our home staging service. Home staging is a service used to declutter your home and arrange furniture in the space for optimal movement and flow. This service helps sell your home quickly, and it shows a prospective buyer how they can place their own furniture.
In addition, organizing has never been easier or more appealing. Eliminating clutter in the garage, pantry, or closets allows the client to locate their long-forgotten items or discard those that will never be used again. Adding shelving, drawers, and baskets keeps items readily accessible and orderly.
